THE STORY

JAYB started with a desire to create something that felt different from the endless cycle of basic sweats, trend-driven clothing, and pieces designed to disappear after a season.

Founder Jacob Bassitt envisioned a brand where comfort could feel elevated and personality could exist in the details. Rather than choosing between timeless and modern, JAYB brings the two together—drawing inspiration from vintage textiles, travel, nostalgia, contemporary culture, and the clothes we naturally want to live in.

At its core, JAYB is about creating pieces that make getting dressed feel effortless without making it forgettable.

THE FOUNDER

JAYB was founded by Jacob Bassitt from a love of fashion, branding, storytelling, and the belief that personal style doesn't have to fit neatly into one category.

The brand reflects Jacob's approach to getting dressed: comfortable, expressive, slightly unexpected, and never overly serious.

JAYB was created for people who want clothes that feel easy without feeling ordinary—and for anyone who sees fashion as another way of documenting where they've been, who they are, and who they're becoming.

For JAYB, that's exactly what made it interesting.

The first JAYB collection takes one of the most recognizable phrases of modern culture and places it somewhere unexpected: alongside textiles and design references that feel as though they could have existed decades before the phrase ever did.

The YOLO Collection began with the juxtaposition of vintage-inspired jacquard textiles and a bold, contemporary YOLO mark. Traditional woven patterns meet modern embroidery, relaxed silhouettes, and colors designed for the present.

Old textile. New message.

The contrast became the foundation for JAYB's first collection—and a fitting introduction to the brand itself.
